Religion
The tribes' religion is founded in the need to explain what couldn’t be explained by science at this point. The passing of seasons, the changing of the world, the invisible machinations of life. Therefore people believe in a myriad of gods and spirits to help make sense of their world and appeal to what is most relevant to their sense of reality. The specifics and names of these entities, as well as the exact practices tied to them varied locally - therefore, we are stepping in hard with our creative freedom here to come up with something that is plausible enough but not too complicated so we can still play on it easily.

Below you can find the deities we fleshed out for you which you can read extensively about in the Design Document. Beyond that, it will be up to you to, if needed, add your own local and personal spirits and deities that may be relevant to your character.

The main lore
Initially, Tefesma ruled the skies alone until Gwalu stepped in contesting her in that humans would adore the light of the stars just as much as the light of sun, despite the darkness and cold. They have since been in a perpetual challenge with each other, fighting for dominion over the skies.

Two main festivities are tied to this: Latusta which is celebrated on the winter solstice when the longest night of the year has passed and Tefesma has defeated Gwalu to reign the skies via daylight again; and Noxtulid after the longest day of the year on the summer solstice, where Gwalu has defeated Tefesma and is reclaiming the skies for the night and the stars once more.
Noxtulid & Latusta
Noxtulid ("Night festival") is held on the longest day of the year during summer. It is a festival of community and life and beauty. It starts during the day to bid the long days goodbye with celebrations and connecting, marriage declarations, anything community based really. As it grows darker, the focus shifts toward storytelling, remembering, dancing, singing and watching the stars until the sun comes up again.
This is what the larp will be about.

Latusta ("Day feast") is celebrated on the shortest night of the year in winter. It is celebrated with a lavish feast and close huddles around a fire within the individual tribes as travel in winter is more straining. Noxtulid, however, brings the three tribes together.
